Thaddeus Le-Nard Murchison’s early education began at Cumberland County Elementary, Oakdale Elementary, Spring Lake Junior High, and Pine Forest High School in Spring Lake, North Carolina. Upon graduating from high school, he joined the United States Army. After his military service career, he found his calling in the Chatham County Maintenance Department.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 27 years, Valerie E. Murchison of Savannah, GA; three sons and one daughter, Michael (Erica)Thompson, Thaddeus Lenard Thompson, Aaron James Joseph Murchison, and Ashley Cameron of Savannah, GA; his mother Joan Murchison, Spring Lake, NC; four brothers, Tyrone (Vickie), Theodore (Laura), Todd (Leathe) and Timothy Murchison; one sister, Tori Barnes all of Spring Lake, N.C.; two uncles, Joseph Lucas and James, Murchison; four aunts, Mary Ann Young-McDougall, Denise Payton, Ethelyn Gibbs, and Agnes Shaffer; Mother-in-law, Marguerite (Willie Charles) Horton; two sisters-in-law, Valerie (Jimmy McGowan) and Yolanda Glover of Savannah, GA; three brothers-in-law, Dr. Christopher Williams, of New York, Mark Mobley and Donald A. James (Melisse) of Savannah, GA and a host of niece, nephews, cousins and friends.
