Samuel Edward Best

Samuel Edward Best departed this life on October 17, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Samuel was the youngest child born to the late David Samuel and Carrie Britt Best on March 14, 1958 at Highsmith Hospital in Fayetteville, N.C. 

Samuel was educated in the Fayetteville City Public Schools and graduated from E.E. Smith Senior High School. After graduation, Samuel enlisted in the United States Navy and served for twelve years. After leaving the service, he became a truck driver and drove trucks for several years. In later life, he became a handyman and did this line of work until he became ill. 

Samuel leaves to cherish his memories: his son Dane Best (fiancee Kia) of Savannah, GA;  one sister Deloris Pritchett and one brother David Best (Glory) of Fayetteville, N.C. and one grandson, Denim Best of Savannah, GA. and the mother of his son; Patricia Epps of Woodbine, GA, two nephews: Donald David Pritchett, Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and David Antonio Best of Tampa, FL and a host of other family members and friends. He loved and was loved by lots of friends. Samuel was a kind and loving brother, full of fun and very enjoyable to be with. We will miss him greatly!
