Thus on October 12, 2019 the God of love chose one of his angels to deliver he gentle & loving soul of Delores Alberta Thomas from her earthly labor to her eternal rest. Delores was born on January 1, 1933 to Arthur Thomas Sr. and Sally Thomas who preceded her in death.
Her early education began in the public school of Durham County where she graduated from Hillside High School. Her higher education included graduation from Deshazor's Beauty College in Durham and Certified Nursing Training.
Delores' many excellent and dedicated years of service to others was spent at the Psychiatric Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC for over 31 years.
After retirement, she continued to care for others as a CNA and a caretaker. She was an amazing cook and often fed the community. Delores was famous for her sweet potato pies and home cooked meals. She was preceded in death by her daughter Elaine Thomas. She leaves to keep all her most precious memories a grand daughter; Quintina M. Thomas, brother; Arthur Thomas Jr., and sister Gertrude T. Davis.
